For such a compact car the baby Elan has a reasonable volume of luggage space. However the shallow, tapered space makes packing difficult leading to crumpled clothes in soft bags. The Hillsalive solution is a pair of fully stiffened bags to make maximum use of the available space. The larger bag easily takes folded clothes whilst the smaller one has a useful pocket for the inevitable odds and ends. There is still space between the luggage and the rear bulkhead which we use for oil, water, foot pump, etc.
