In 2000 I bought my first Morgan, an indigo blue 2-seater 4/4. This was replaced
by a brand new 4/4 in February 2002. Since the first, our Morgans have been used
for holidays, weekends away, camping trips and general fun driving. One frustration
was the limited luggage capacity. We always managed to carry sufficient for our
needs but it was never particularly elegant. We had a couple of soft bags which more
or less fitted into the luggage compartment and into these we packed our clothes.
With these two bags in the car there was some space left which we filled with other
items in a collection of plastic bags - not elegant but effective. The biggest problem
was that packing and unpacking the car always involved several trips to and from
the car. The next problem was that after a weekend away the bags would be re-packed
and they would never quite fit into the car as they did when we packed at home. For
a weekend camping trip this was an annoyance but for a 10 day touring holiday in
France .....................There had to be a better way.
